Purchase the 2007 Conference Proceedings

Back by popular demand, GeoWeb 2007 is returning this July to Vancouver, British Columbia. Slated as one of the premier GIS events of the year, GeoWeb 2007’s principal theme, “From Mashups to Infrastructure,” reflects the breadth, evolution, and growing maturity of the GeoWeb. Today, the GeoWeb is now a key component in critical decision making across a broad spectrum of market segments and application domains.

GeoWeb 2007 welcomes both public and private organizations to meet, discuss, and learn about today’s most innovative geospatial technologies and the possibilities related to this important technological shift. GeoWeb 2007 will include dedicated workshops on Geography Markup Language (GML), KML, MapPoint, LandXML, SVG, ebRIM, and OGC Web Services for GIS.

Conference papers will reflect topics such as Web services, service-oriented architecture, and business and policy issues that are relevant in the context of the GeoWeb. Connecting these topics to working solutions in specific market segments is a key objective of this year’s conference program. As such, connections between the topics above and specific market or domain solutions should be evident in the papers themselves. Market segments of particular interest include:
